Full-time Students
All full-time students of PNCA taking 6 hours or more are automatically enrolled in a health insurance program through PNCA and will be billed the premium each semester during the regular academic year. Any student with existing health insurance coverage may be exempted from participation in the College's group plan by completing and filing a waiver form no later than the last day of add/drop (2 weeks from the first day of school). Waiver forms are put into every student's mail file at the beginning of each semester and are available in the Student Services and Registration Offices.

Summer Coverage
Summer coverage is included in the Spring semester’s insurance premium.
Summary of Benefits
The Policy provides for the Medically Necessary Usual, Customary and Reasonable Charges (UCR) incurred by a covered person for loss due to a covered injury or sickness. If a covered person receives care from a preferred provider, any covered medical expenses will be paid at the preferred provider level of benefits. In all other situations, reduced or lower benefits will be provided when an Out-of-Network provider is used.
This Plan pays 80% for preferred providers and 60% for out of network. The Plan provides benefits up to the Yearly maximum of $10,000. There is a $50 deductible per policy year.
