Scholarships and Community Outreach
Scholarships are available for any Youth Program course including smARTworks and Pre-College workshops and the Pre-College Summer Studio.
Each semester, PNCA awards partial or full tuition scholarships to children and young adults, ages 4-18, to attend art classes. The criteria for eligibility are economic need, artistic ability and/or promise. Minority and economically-disadvantaged students are encouraged to apply. We award scholarships to children and teens based on the strengths of their applications, recommendations and class availability. Please check the calendar for scholarship deadlines.

The Outreach Program
In the Outreach Program, PNCA offers after school art classes in selected public schools for students with few other opportunities to learn about art. The Program’s goal is not only to teach art skills, but also to instill self-confidence in students and improve focus and commitment to education. This program is entirely supported through donations. The College believes firmly in the value of an arts education and will continue to support the participation of PNCA faculty and students in the education of underserved youth in our community. We believe that the new program model will have a lasting impact on the participating youth, both enriching the curriculum as well as broadening participation.
