-Prepare Yourself for College-
PNCA’s Pre-College Program is a selection of week-long intensive studios for students ages 15 to 18 who want to experience studying at a top art and design college. The Pre-College Studios gives young artists the platform to expand their art and design knowledge and skills, while strengthening their overall portfolio for college admissions.
Be apart of a unique creative environment surrounded by other young artists who are equally passionate about art and design. Spend a week, two weeks, three weeks or more exploring specific areas of interests and building new skills.

The City of Portland
Portland is a city with a small-town feel. Just like PNCA, Portland is all about creativity, collaboration, sustainability, and new ways of thinking and working. Renowned musicians, artists, app designers, writers, architects, and graphic designers all call Portland home.
Weekday evenings and weekends are filled with explorations of Portland’s thriving cultural scene, creative organizations, and famed green spaces and sustainable enterprises. Over the course of the program, the group will spend time at Portland’s river front and Washington Park, catch a concert or movie in a city park, visit creative agencies such as Nike, Wieden + Kennedy or Ziba, see exhibits at local museums and art galleries, and dig into the delicious menu provided by Portland’s amazing and wonderfully sustainable food palate including organic fruit and juice makers, ice cream artists Salt & Straw, Voodoo Doughnuts, and the thriving scene of international cuisine food carts.
In and Around Your Summer Neighborhood: The Pearl – Over 20 art galleries, museums, and abundant shopping and dining options – Major bus lines, the Portland Streetcar, and the MAX Light Rail – Union Station with Amtrak, Greyhound, and Bolt Bus service – Walk Score of 100 (Walker’s Paradise) and Bike Score of 97 (Biker’s Paradise)
