EXHIBIT INFO
Translations and Discoveries is a show of local and international artists that work primarily in printmaking and painting who have also translated their ideas and imagery through the lens of kiln-formed glass. This is an act of translation, not of transcription. Working with glass allows the artists to explore the same conceptual and visual territory using another voice, one that affords almost all of the same pictorial and formal qualities of their printmaking and painting, but with a different relationship to transparency, light and physical depth than their original media.
