NY Painter Ann Craven Discusses Her Work

Friday, April 4
Rm 125 | 12:30 pm
Ann Craven lives and works in New York City. Her work is included in the collection of the Miami MOCA, the Whitney Museum of American Art, The New Museum, as well as many other public and private collections.
The Boston Globe said, “Craven is an expressionistic, painterly artist who portrays natural subjects such as birds and deer with a candy-colored palette… In some ways, Craven closes the circle that began with Warhol: Like him, she depicts her subjects over and over and over, but with an Abstract Expressionist’s delight in hand-painting instead of Warhol’s mass-printing.”
April offers many opportunities to hear visiting artists discuss their work. Visit our calendar to find information on Melissa Dyne, PNCA faculty member Monica Drake, and sculptor Gay Outlaw next week.
