Artist Talk featuring Sandow Birk
1 – 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 2 | PNCA Feldman Gallery + Project Space, 1241 N.W. Johnson St.
In conjunction with the exhibition of Depravities of War and American Qur’an in the Feldman Gallery + Project Space, artist Sandow Birk will discuss his work. Birk is a well-traveled graduate of the Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design. Frequently developed as expansive, multi-media projects, his works have dealt with contemporary life in its entirety. With an emphasis on social issues, frequent themes of his past work have included inner city violence, graffiti, political issues, travel, war, and prisons, as well as surfing and skateboarding.
