Temporary CE Program Coordinator
Reports To: Director of Continuing Education
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Hours: 16 per week from 9/15 – 10/31
36.5 per week from 11/3 – 2/12

Primary Purpose
The CE Program Coordinator participates as a team member with Continuing Education staff, being highly involved with the public and working collaboratively with other college departments to ensure effective delivery and evaluation of continuing education programs.
This position fills a temporary maternity-leave vacancy and will serve from 9/15 – 10/31: Mon - Thurs, 3 - 7 PM and 11/3 – 2/12: Mon - Thurs, Noon - 7 PM and Fri, Noon – 4 PM.
Description of Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Job Functions
- Assist in semester schedule planning and manage semester schedule information and distribution.
- Adult program faculty support.
- Provide and update documentation of program activities (print, online, reports) and participate in the promotion of programs, including creation of publications and their distribution in print and electronic formats.
- Provide program representation to key College constituents, serve as program interface with the public, and respond to public and institutional inquiries about program information.
- Distribute and process adult program evaluations.
- Assist in market research and evaluation; participate in processing of program evaluation tools and summarizing and presentation of program data.
- Track program and course expenses and determine appropriate revenue requirements; organize and maintain program supply orders including faculty PO and check requests & printing orders.

Description of Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Job Functions
- Working with the President, the Board Development Committee, and other key staff, develop, organize and manage an annual fundraising program that increases both participation and funds raised through individual solicitation, direct mail, events, and grant-writing.
- Manage and supervise a comprehensive alumni and parent relations program.
- Develop and manage a leadership giving effort and be willing and capable of personally soliciting major gift donors of $10,000 and more.
- Invest in building individual and institutional relationships with a variety of constituents including friends, alumni, parents, foundations, corporations, and governmental agencies.
- Work with the director of foundation relations and other staff and faculty to ensure strong support for institutional objectives.
- Write gift proposals, reports and acknowledgements.
- Develop and manage a variety of development publications.
- In coordination with the business office and the development systems manager, develop and maintain accurate reporting systems to track and disseminate fundraising progress.
- Train and lead other development staff in the use of best practices in all aspects of higher education fundraising.
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold at least a Bachelor's degree and have a minimum of five years demonstrated experience in college advancement or its equivalent, with proven success in fundraising, alumni and/or parent relations, and staff and volunteer management. Experience planning and managing annual appeals, special events, direct mail, and donor cultivation are essential. In addition, the position requires outstanding verbal and written communication skills, presentation and research skills, and knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or a comparable donor software program. The ability to work on a team, be flexible, maintain confidentiality, exercise good judgment, accept responsibility, and maintain a positive attitude is also important.

Digital Printing Technician
Reports To: Photography Chair

Primary Purpose
This position provides technical support to students and faculty in all aspects of digital photography and works closely with the Photography Department Chair to maintain regular communication regarding the status of the department’s resources.
Description of Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Job Functions
- Research current technology and assist in the assessment of departmental needs
- Provide technical assistance to professors and students regarding wide format digital printing equipment and software used by the Photography department
- Administration of Macintosh and PC stations used for digital printing
- Proper maintenance of printers on a regular basis, including hardware troubleshooting
- Accurate color calibration of printers and monitors
- Maintain an inventory of consumables and place correct orders for replacement supplies
- Develop and present workshops for students and faculty regarding the proper use of the digital printing equipment and software
- Effectively and accurately communicate the technical needs of the printing facility to the Computer Arts Center
Additional Job Functions
- Assist students with troubleshooting issues pertaining to the equipment and software
- Encourage students as they discover their method or working in a digital environment
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively with and train students and faculty of varying personalities and artistic approaches
- Extensive knowledge of printers, monitors and software used for printing, image editing and calibration of monitors and paper types, including the most current versions of the Adobe Suite, Eye One, Studio Print and Epson wide format printers
- In-depth knowledge of Macintosh functionality combined with good trouble shooting skills
- Thorough knowledge of all equipment and software used in a Digital Print Facility
- Flexible availability during the school year, especially during finals

AV Media Systems Technician

Primary Purpose
Assist students, staff and faculty in the use of the CAC with a strong focus on running the equipment checkout room.
Description of Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Job Functions
- Assess CAC needs by communicating with students and faculty concerning their needs for additional equipment or software.
- Communicate with students and faculty to find out if there are needs for special training or documents.
- Create CAC documentation and policy. Research and update A/V policy. Help to create policy for any new piece of equipment with special restrictions. Enforce CAC policy when needed.
- Create signs for various parts of the CAC.
- Daily oversight of equipment checkout room and its employees.
- Keep an up to date inventory and track down any discrepancies.
- Hire, train and assess all work-study students.
- Test and use the reservation software and request additional features.
- Check equipment in and out.
- Educate and train students faculty and staff. Prepare documentation on the proper use of certain lab and video equipment. Provide training seminars for students and instructors. Create training manuals for various pieces of equipment, software and hardware. Create and maintain introductory packet for new students, staff and faculty.
- Assist students and faculty to troubleshoot CAC hardware and software problems. Help students and faculty resolve problems relating to our in-house (Rezmaker, student email) and commercial (adobe, apple, macromedia etc.) software products. Help students resolve hardware problems, including those with equipment, computers and AV devices.
- Purchase and maintain equipment for the CAC
- Diagnose and fix broken equipment.
- Research and contact vendors.
- Keep track of consumables and reorder them when needed.
- Label, engrave and inventory newly purchased equipment.
- Order replacement parts.
Additional Job Functions
- Installation of AV components.
- Plan, set up, wire and install CAC special projects (IMAG, room 201 etc.).
- Secure any temporary A/V projects or displays using CAC equipment.
- Curate IMAG gallery and communicate with instructors regarding student needs to decide which shows would best fulfill those needs. Make sure the events schedule does not conflict with need for classroom space by students.
- Find and schedule artists for the gallery. Help create policy for proper use of IMAG.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Basic knowledge of Macintosh computers/applications and camera maintenance.
- Some experience in both management and customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 - 2 years experience running an A/V check out center, preferably within an educational institution.
- 1 - 2 years experience with media based equipment, including video cameras, photography equipment, etc.

- 1 + year experience with networking, internet access, hardware / software troubleshooting and systems configuration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with OSX Server utilities, FreeBSD and RadMind.
- Previous work or experience with service bureaus, digital printmaking and OSX color calibration.
- Ability to use power and hand tools in computer repair, facility development, and networking.
- Possess a basic understanding of design, multimedia, audio/visual production, color calibration and printing, networking, diagnostics and system configuration.
