Portfolio

Your portfolio is your best opportunity to show us who you are as an artist or designer. Show us the work that is uniquely your own, work that showcases your ideas, imagination, and talent. Your experiments and explorations are just as important as technical skills and process. Each work will be evaluated on artistic and conceptual content, design and composition, originality, technical skill and creative potential.

What to include

Your portfolio should be made up of 10 to 15 examples of your original creative work. This can include assignments completed for class, personal projects, professional projects, sketchbook work (optional). Show us your best and most recent work.

Examples of media:

Drawing
Painting
Sculpture
Video
Sound
Animation
Film
Photography
Graphic Design
Web Design
Interactive Media Projects*
Online Projects
Performance
Installation

If possible, we recommend that your portfolio should include several examples of observational drawings, even if you plan on majoring in Photography or Communication Design.  If you have questions regarding the observational drawing component, contact the Admissions Office at 503-821-8972 or admissions@pnca.edu.
