Now Accepting Applications for
Fall ’09

What we look for:

Pacific Northwest College of Art welcomes applications from students who are creative, disciplined and motivated. Applications are reviewed on an individual basis to determine whether the BFA program matches the prospective student’s educational and artistic goals. We look for creative skills as demonstrated by the portfolio, academic ability as demonstrated by transcripts, and the motivation and potential to be successful artists and designers.

When to Apply

PNCA uses a rolling admission policy for all applicants. We accept applications and continue to offer enrollment to qualified applicants until tuition deposits complete each class. Students who apply or deposit after a class is already filled will be added to a waiting list or considered for enrollment in the next semester. We do not have a final deadline. However, we strongly recommend that applications for fall semester be received by August 15th and applications for spring be received by December 15th.

If you are interested in applying for admission and financial aid we strongly encourage you to complete the admissions application and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid in a timely manner.

For priority consideration for competitive scholarships, all admissions and financial aid application materials must be received by March 2.

For more information and/or to tour the College, contact the Admission Office at 503.821.8972 or 1.888.390.7499, or
. Tours are by appointment and must be scheduled at least one day in advance. Tours are available Monday through Saturday.

“When I took my first painting class, it was like a light bulb turned on. I just knew it was important, so I kept taking art classes, and soon I was doing like three art classes at night and doing a full-time job, helping out my family business in Chinatown.”
